Women’s Basketball: Potomac State rolls over Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, PA. — Alexis Carr was three rebounds away from a triple-double and half a dozen Catamounts scored in double figures during Potomac State’s 111-73 win over Harrisburg Area Community College Thursday.

Miranda McNabb led the six players with 10 or more points by scoring 20. Antwanye’ Parks added 19 and Carr kicked in with 18. Carr also had 12 assists and seven rebounds to lead the team in both categories. Parks also had seven boards as well as five steals and four assists.

Leah Hershberger added nine points and eight assists to the Cats’ season-high 111 points, and Elizabeth McNabb finished with 11 points.

Potomac State (4-1) made 11 threes as a team and got most of them in the early part of the first half to jump out to a commanding lead by halftime, 64-30. Chelsea Keyser had five of them for 15 points.

CeeCee Webster’s 25 points and Taylor Ford’s 23 led Harrisburg.

Potomac State returns to Keyser for the start of a three-game home stand beginning Wednesday at 7 p.m. when it faces Frederick.
