Women’s Basketball: Catamounts throttle CCAC-South

KEYSER, W.Va. — Kaleigh Wetzel scored 21 points and Leah Hershberger 20 to lead Potomac State to an easy 101-42 victory over CCAC South to close the Catamounts’ home schedule Monday at Dana G. Lough Gymnasium.

Alexis Carr scored 18 points for Potomac State and also had six assists. Deanna Braxton also had six assists and four steals, while Kirsten Rayner scored eight points and had six rebounds. Antwanye Parks scored nine points and Chelsea Keyser eight.

South was led by Miashanti Smith with 19 points.

Potomac State led at halftime, 54-27.

Potomac State (15-3) will play Sunday at Mercyhurst and will be out to avenge an earlier loss this season, having fallen to Mercyhurst in December.
