Women’s Basketball: Feaster leads Potomac State to tip off season

KEYSER, W.Va. — Mary Feaster scored 22 points and led seven double-figure scorers for Potomac State as the Catamounts opened their women’s basketball season in convincing fashion with a 114-54 rout of Prince George’s Community College Saturday afternoon.

Feaster hit nine field goals and four of five free throws to lead Potomac State, which shot 55 percent from the field (43 for 78) in its season debut. Katelyn Hoban was 6 for 7 from the field and had 13 points and eight rebounds.

Elizabeth Mills and Kenyatta Butler also had 13 points, Treashur Jackson had 11 and Jaylnn Vaughn-Fields and Alexis Carr 10 for the Catamounts, who led 49-20 at halftime.

Coneisha Smith scored a game-high 28 points, making 11 field goals and 5 of 15 free throws for Prince George’s.

Potomac State plays again Tuesday at Anne Arundel at 4 p.m.
