Women’s Basketball: Catamounts throttle Jamestown 100-47

Potomac State led by 20 after one quarter and by 44 at halftime as the Catamounts picked up their fourth win of the season by blowing out Jamestown 100-47 on Saturday at home.

Lexi Carr scored 18 points and had six steals, and Kenyata Butler wound up with a game-high 20 points. She also had five rebounds. Elizabeth Mills pitched in with 12 points and seven rebounds, and Courtney Davis had 13 points and four steals.

Potomac State jumped out to a 33-13 lead after one quarter and led 67-23 by halftime on accurate shooting from the floor.

As a team, the Cats shot 45 for 90 from the floor and was 6 of 16 on 3-pointers.

“We played pretty good in all aspects of the game,” said Jim Walton, PSC head coach. “Are team defense was excellent and we were very unselfish on offense.”

The Catamounts (4-1) play at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the College of Southern Maryland.
