Women’s Basketball: Potomac State holds off NOVA

Chrisman, Wilson part of balanced attack in 71-66 victory

KEYSER, W.Va. — Kenzie Chrisman and Olivia Wilson both picked up a double-double, leading Potomac State to a 71-66 win over Northern Virginia on Saturday afternoon.

Chrisman, who grabbed 10 rebounds, put up a team-high 17 points on eight field goals and 1 of 2 free-throw shooting.

In addition to a team-high 16 rebounds, Wilson scored 12 points on four field goals, half of which came from three-point land, and two free throws. She also had three steals.

Mary Feaster and Ny’Zhea Green added 11 points apiece for the Catamounts, who battled back from a four-point deficit, 21-17, after the first quarter to take leads of 38-36 and 54-51 after the next two quarters.

Jalita Montgomery led Northern Virginia with a game-high 19 points on seven field goals, including four three-pointers, and went 1 for 4 from the free-throw line.
