Women’s Basketball: Potomac State routs Frederick

Lady Catamount sophomores Rayona Chapman (left) and Mary Feaster played their final home game on Thursday evening against Frederick Community College.  Feaster scored 19-points and Chapman added 6 to contribute to Potomac State’s 102-66 victory.  

KEYSER, W.Va. — Olivia Wilson and Kenzie Chrisman each picked up a double-double and combined for 63 points as Potomac State defeated Frederick in a rout, 102-66, on Thursday evening.

Wilson, who grabbed a team-high 16 rebounds, scored a game-high 34 points on 13 field goals, six of which fell from beyond the three-point stripe, and a 2 for 4 effort from the free-throw line.

Chrisman nearly matched Wilson’s effort in the point and rebound departments, as Chrisman finished with 29 points and 12 boards. She converted on 11 baskets and 7 of 10 free throws.

Mary Feaster added 19 points and six assists for the Catamounts, who led by just nine (21-12) after the first quarter before holding leads of 50-30 and 74-51 going into the third and fourth quarters.

Kaitlynn Tichnell scored eight points and Rayona Chapman and Sam Rohrbaugh had six apiece, while Rohrbaugh also dished out five assists.

Alijah Gee led Frederick with 25 points, Aniss Grant had 16 points and Kendal Hether 14.

Potomac State (12-6) will travel to Cecil on Wednesday, 5 p.m
