Women’s Basketball: Potomac State falls at Niagara

NIAGARA, N.Y. — Potomac State College finished strong, but Niagara got off to an even hotter start and handed the Catamounts their first loss, 99-50, Saturday in college women’s basketball.

While the Cats had trouble finding their way, the Thunder Wolves scored 26 points in the first quarter, had 48 at halftime and 76 after three quarters. Potomac State had eight points in the first and trailed 48-19 at halftime. It was 76-25 entering the final quarter.

Payton Butts had 14 points and Jenna Faulkner 12 for Niagara.

Olivia Wilson scored 20 points for the Catamounts, while Kirsten Doleman added 14 and Ny’Zhea Greene 10. Mary Feaster led the team with nine rebounds.
