Potomac State pounds Garrett 112-62.

KEYSER, W.V. - After losing two close games to Garrett during the regular season last year, Potomac State took that chance out of the equation early Wednesday evening as the Catamounts roughed up the visiting Lakers 112-62.

Seven Potomac State players scored in double figures as the Cats played almost identical first and second halves offensively. PSC led 55-25 at halftime, and outscored the Lakers 57-37 in the second.

"Obviously, we got off to a great start and a big lead. We got contributions from everybody," Walton said. "We stepped up the defense, and held them at 11 points for a long while. Our starters played well, and when we go to the bench we don't lose anything. We just pulled away."

Maddie Crosby led Potomac with 19 points, and added four rebounds. Brittany Skyles made four three-point shots and had 16 points, and Julieanne Buckley added 15.

Denise Johnson, who had four steals in the opening minutes to get the Cats going, added a dozen points, while Elante Payton and Shaniece Banks each had 11. Amanda McKim had 10 points, six steals and four rebounds.

Garrett got a game-high 19 points from Lacresha Hankins. Brittany Pendleton added 11 and Brittany Boyce had 10.

Potomac State (6-0) plays at Frederick on Friday at 5PM.
