KEYSER, W.V. - Despite leading from start to finish, Potomac State College needed the whole game to put away Garrett College, 77-70, Thursday evening at PSC's Dana G. Lough Gymnasium.

Brittany Skyles scored a team-high 23 points and Chelsea Holcomb added 10. Tae Payton and Breanna Wright each finished with nine. Skyles, Payton and Wright each had three 3-point shots and Holcomb two.

The Catamounts led 42-34 at halftime.

"We led the entire game," said Catamount head coach Jim Walton. "We led by 14 in the first half and Garrett fought back. We had a 19 point lead in the second half, but every time we felt comfortable, Garrett would fight back."

The Lakers (3-5) were led by Kwaiyera Davis's game-high 25 points. She had six buckets, two 3-pointers and was 7-of-11 from the free throw line. Alice Abiya added 13 points and Marcia Bogan 12.

Potomac State (7-7) is at Westmoreland County Community College for a Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference game Saturday at 12 p.m.
