Lady Cats run win streak to four with win over Westmoreland

YOUNGWOOD, Pa. - Brittany Skyles scored 14 points, Chelsea Holcomb had 10 and Aisha Short posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds to power Potomac State past 53-50 Westmoreland in a Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference game.

Short scored eight of her points in the second half, and five of her 10 rebounds came off the offensive glass. Skyles added seven rebounds and Holcomb had four rebounds, four steals and three assists for the Catamounts (8-7, 3-0 WPCC), which won its fourth straight game. Tae Payton chipped in with nine points and four assists.

Jamie Henry scored a game-high 20 points for Westmoreland.

The game was tied 27-27 at halftime and the largest lead by either team was eight. Potomac State forged ahead with five minutes to play and kept the lead the rest of the way.

The Catamounts host CCAC-South on Wednesday night.
