FAIRMONT, WV- Alexis Steele helped lead North Marion to a state title 3-peat in girls basketball and now she decided to take her basketball talents to Potomac State College.

Steele signed her letter of intent to play women's basketball for the lady Catamounts on Thursday afternoon at Muriale's in Fairmont. The 5-foot-7 guard averaged 8.1 points per game for the Huskies a season ago, on their way to their third consecutive state championship crown. Steele said her decision to play basketball at Potomac State was an opportunity she simply could not pass up.

"It's a really big accomplishment for me. I'm glad I can move on and play basketball at the collegiate level and also continue my academic career there. Potomac State was just a really great fit for me. I can play basketball for two years and then go on to WVU, or continue my basketball career. So I'll just have another big decision to make in two years," Steele said.
