Lady Cats Basketball Falls to Patrick Henry
MCHENRY, MD — Eulandra Forrest scored 16 points and a balanced attack allowed undefeated Patrick Henry to defeat Potomac State 58-52 in the first game of the McDonald’s Tip-Off Classic Sunday at Garrett College.Forrest had five field goals and made 6 of 7 from the line. She was the only player for Patrick Henry to score in double figures but the team had 10 team members score. Bria Robinson was next with nine and Kirastin Cole had eight.
Potomac State (2-2) was led by Ashley Hines 15 points and Ruth Wheeler’s 10. Hines had a double-double as she led the Catamounts with 16 rebounds. She also had three assists and five steals.
“They led throughout the game,” said Potomac State head coach Jim Walton. “We pulled to within two, 50-48. Then we had to foul and the made them.
“They’re very big,” he said. “They have six over six foot. We played hard, had a chance.”
Patrick Henry improved to 4-0.
Potomac State (2-2) visits Frederick Community College after the Thanksgiving break on Wednesday, Nov. 30, for a 7 p.m. start.
