MCHENRY, MD  — Ashley Hines had a double-double finishing with 16 rebounds and 15 points, and three other Potomac State players scored in double figures during the Catamounts’ 67-63 win over Garrett Tuesday evening in McHenry, MD.

Danielle Freeman led Potomac State with 16 points and Ali St. Van matched Hines by scoring 15 points. Brandie Robertson scored 13 points, while Freeman added eight rebounds.

“The first half was mostly back-and-forth,” said Jim Walton, the Cats’ Head Coach. “We came out cold early and blew some high-percentage shots before finally being able to get a decent lead by halftime. In the second half, it seemed that every time we would build a big lead they would come back and get it close.”

The Catamounts (13-8) play at Chesapeake on Thursday before traveling to Cecil on Saturday.
