Lady Cats fall to Allegany

CUMBERLAND — Brittany Taylor scored 24 points to lead Allegany College of Maryland to their 10th straight win, 69-57 over Potomac State at home Friday night.

Mental mistakes by Potomac State and good free throw shooting by Allegany gave the Trojans a five point lead at halftime that they wouldn’t relinquish.

Allegany continued to take advantage of their foul shot opportunities in the second half, hitting 19-25 on the night, to pull away for a 12-point win.

Madi Nightengale scored 15 points for the Trojans, Taylor Siggers added 12 and Briana Bonaparte chipped in eight points and grabbed 11 boards.

Ashley Hines was impressive for Potomac State with 22 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in a losing effort, which makes them 9-7, they’ll hosts Garrett Monday at 5pm..
