Women's Basketball: Lady Cats roll in home opener

KEYSER, W.V. — Rachel Waiboga had 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead Potomac State over Southern Maryland 72-51 in its home opener Tuesday night.
Potomac State was plagued by turnovers in the first half, keeping Southern Maryland within striking distance, down 32-25 at the break.
In the second half, the Catamounts took care of the ball and went on a run sparked by three pointers from Alexis Steele, Lindsay Miller and Jenna McAtee to pull away for the 19-point win.
McAtee finished with 15 points and Miller had 13. Steele scored 11 points with six assists and five steals. Morgan Wright grabbed eight rebounds to go with eight points.
Southern Maryland drops to 0-2. Potomac State is 1-1 and plays tonight at Garrett at 6 p.m.
