Women’s Basketball: Lady Cats fall to Westmoreland
KEYSER, W.V. — Potomac State hung tough in the first half before Westmoreland found its stride in the second half of a 61-45 win over the Catamounts during Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference action Saturday in Keyser.
Danielle Murphy finished with 16 points to lead the Wolfpack. Anna Falcsik added 11 points and Kerry Zelenak scored 10.
Jenna McAtee paced Potomac State with 13 points, while Lindsie Linaburg had eight rebounds to go with seven points. Alexis Steele scored eight points.
Neither team shot very well over the first 20 minutes, but the Wolfpack warmed up in the second while PSC struggled to get going. Westmoreland outscored the Cats 39-25 in the final half.
The loss drops Potomac State to 4-14 and 3-2 in the WPCC. It will play CCAC South at home on Monday.
