Women’s Cross Country: Cole finishes 8th at Region XX

Arnold, MD- Potomac State College of WVU freshman Lenae Cole ran at the NJCAA DIII Region XX Championship in Arnold, MD. Host Anne Arundel Community College won the team title. Cole ran a great race up front finishing in the top 10 with an 8th place finish. Cole narrowly missed out on a spot at the NJCAA D3 National Championship by 1 spot.

Lenae Cole PSC Head Coach Ian Hankins said, "I thought Lenae ran a terrific race as she ran with the leaders and continued to move up throughout the race. Unfortunately she ultimately ran out of real estate and just missed out on a spot on the All-Region team as well as a trip to the national championships. Lenae had a fantastic year for us as she took the challenge of being the only girl on the team and ran with it by continuing to get better each day. She set a high mark for the Catamounts and her school record will be a difficult standard for future Catamounts to chase. I look forward to having Lenae come back next year to improve and hopefully we will be able to send her to the national meet in the future."
