Women’s Cross Country: Record Breaking Day for Cole

Youngwood, PA- The Potomac State Cross Country Teams traveled to the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg for the Aaron Slafka Memorial XC Invitational. Freshman Lenae Cole started things off for the Catamounts in the women's heat by shattering her school record by 27 seconds. Cole's time of 22:51 in the 5k race earned her 38th out of 75 runners.

Theil's Merideth Steinmetz won the invitational with a time of 19:28. Local rival Frostburg State University won the team title with 43 points.

PSC Head Cross Country Coach Ian Hankins stated, "I was really impressed with the way Lenae ran. She ran with the middle of the pack in an extremely competitive race which resulted in a personal record and school record by almost 30 seconds."
