Women’s Cross Country: Cayton sets the pace for Catamounts at opening race

Youngwood, PA- The Potomac State harriers got their cross country season underway for the 2015 campaign at the Westmoreland Wolfpack Invitational for the 5k race in the 9 team invitational.   Diana Cayton (Keyser, WV) led things for the Catamounts as she finished her debut race by placing 24th with a time of 38:29. 

The University of Pittsburgh- Greensburg won the team title with 32 points.

“It was a great opening meet for us.  It was a good starting point and a benchmark for the season.  From here we will only get better.  I’m proud with Diana in how she competed in her debut.  It was an impressive result for a novice runner,” stated Ian Hankins, PSC Head Coach.

The Catamounts will be back in action next weekend at the Alderson-Broaddus Seaton Invitational in Phillipi, WV
