Ben Kelly has been hired as the new Head Women’s Cross Country Coach at Potomac State College.  He succeeds Ian Hankins who resigned during the winter of 2015.

Kelly earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Md. A graduate of North Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, MD, where he was all state pole vaulter during the 2008 and 2009 indoor and outdoor seasons. He is a Certified Track Official with the National Federation of State High School Associations, and a United States of America Track and Field Official since 2008. Kelly has officiated numerous track and field and cross country meets throughout this time. Coaching many track and field and cross country events since 2008 Kelly feels prepared to take on this role as Head Women’s Cross Country Coach.

“I would like to thank Athletic Director Shawn White and Potomac State college for giving me this opportunity to lead their women’s cross country program as well as continuing my position as Head Athletic Trainer. I am eager to begin this new position and assist in building the athletic program” Kelly said.
