Women’s Lacrosse: Catamounts Offense leads the way past Essex

KEYSER, W.V. — Freshman Kayla Littleton scored four goals and assisted on a fifth in the second half and finished with five goals and two assists in leading Potomac State past Essex Community College 18-14.

Lindsey Chamberlain had three goals and an assist, Savannah Chamberlain and Amanda Thomason three goals each, Morgan Fair two goals and an assist and Katya Pase two goals as the first-year Catamounts notched their sixth win of the season.

Littleton also had four ground balls and three draw controls, Lindsey Chamberlain five draw controls, and Fair four draw controls. On the defensive end, Whitney Ogle scooped up six ground balls and Jerica Blanding made 15 saves in goal.

Potomac State (6-7) ends its inaugural regular season Friday, at 6 p.m., with a home match against West Virginia Wesleyan.
