Women’s Lacrosse: Catamounts fall on the road to Howard Community College

The Potomac State Women’s Lacrosse team fell to Howard Community College 19-8, despite an amazing performance from sophomore goal keeper Jerica Blanding.

Blanding finished the game with 17 saves and now has 55 on the season, which leads all of the NJCAA.

The Lady Catamount attack was powered by a hat trick from Amanda Thomason, and Kayla Littleton with 3 points of her own (1G,2A). Morgan Fair had an excellent performance in the midfield with 3 ground balls, 2 draw controls, 1 caused turnover, and a goal of her own.

Savannah Chamberlain was there to support Fair in the midfield with 2 ground balls, 2 draw controls, 2 caused turnovers, and 2 goals of her own as well. Sophomore Antoinette Jones once again took the lead on defense with 3 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers.

The Lady Cats look to bounce back as they take on visiting Mohawk Valley CC this Friday and Saturday at 4PM and 12PM, respectively at Stayman Field.
