Women's Lacrosse: Lady Catamounts fall to the Riverhawks of AACC

After battling neck and neck for the first 20 minutes, the Potomac State College Women’s Lacrosse team (0-3), plagued by injuries, ran out of gas against Anne Arundel Community College (1-0), giving up a 6 goal run to end the first half before losing 20-8 in Arnold, Maryland.

The Catamounts had three players with 2 goals apiece in Lindsey Chamberlain (So., Baltimore, MD), Kayla Littleton (So., Cambridge, MD.), and Quincy Oram (Fr., Frederick, MD.). Hannah Bennett (Fr., Morgantown, WV.) added 1 goal and 1 assist along with a team high 5 draw controls while Savannah Chamberlain (So., Baltimore, MD.) rounded out the scoring for the Catamounts with a goal of her own.

Kia Ross started between the pipes for the Catamounts, recording 10 saves before Betsy Maltez finished the contest with 3 saves. The Catamounts return to action Monday, March 14th in Morgantown with an exhibition game against the West Virginia University club team.
