Potomac State Lady Cats will travel to Virginia, Maryland for fall ball

The Potomac State Women's Lacrosse team has released their fall schedule for 2016, as fall practices begin next week.

The schedule is composed of matches against various NCAA teams, especially schools within a close proximately in location. Head coach Connor Brown stated, “It is important to us that our girls will go on to play at the next level. Therefore, we will use the fall season for our athletes to get a taste of other campuses and the vibes that the NCAA has to offer, while the NCAA affiliated schools get the chance to recruit our girls.”

Potomac State’s first contest takes place on Saturday, October 1st as the team travels to Lynchburg, Virginia to play Randolph College. The following weekend the team will travel to McDaniel College in Westminster, MD to participate in a play day on the morning of October 9th. At this event the Catamounts will face off against McDaniel and St. Mary’s College.

Towards the end of the month, the team will stay local as they travel to Elkins, West Virginia to face Davis and Elkins College on Saturday October 15th at 5pm, followed by the Potomac State men’s team facing off at 7pm.

On October 20th the team will travel to Morgantown in order to face the West Virginia University club team. “I’m really looking forward to that game” said Brown, a WVU alumni. The team will wrap up their fall ball with a joint practice and scrimmage with Ohio Valley University on Sunday October 22nd.

The Potomac State women’s lacrosse schedule for the spring season will be released later this fall.
