Women's Soccer: Catamounts set record in 6-1 win

FRONT ROYAL, Va. — Potomac State College broke the school’s single-season scoring record with 62 goals in a 6-1 victory at Christendom on Thursday as the Catamounts improved to 10-0.

Christendom took the early lead on a score by Grace O’Reilly 4:30 into the game. Sadey Crooks tied it on a penalty kick at 28:15. Comfort Agyei gave Potomac State the lead on an assist from Erin Lewis at 41:00. Crooks scored again at 43:23 to make it 3-1. Agyei scored her second on a pass from Crooks to make it 4-1 at halftime.

Angel Dixon scored on a pass from Nikki Rowe nine minutes into the second half. At 77:28, Laurel Podlesnik was assisted by Agyei to make the final 6-1.

Elizabeth Slated halted 10 of Potomac State’s 23 shots. Acasha Smith saved five and Brittany Yates three in goal for the Catamounts.

Potomac State (10-0) hosts Howard Saturday at 11 a.m.
