Agyei leads Catamounts past Westmoreland

YOUNGWOOD, PA. — Comfort Agyei scored a pair of goals to lead Potomac State past Westmorland County Community College 4-1 Wednesday.

The Catamounts (4-0) spotted Westmoreland an early lead and then roared back with four unanswered goals to remain unbeaten.

Mackenzie Erlich scored for Westmoreland in the eighth minute, but Potomac State’s Abby Altman knotted the score with an unassisted goal just three minutes later.

Agyei put the Catamounts on top to stay by scoring on an assist from Cassie Alamo just before halftime.

Agyei and Laurel Podlesnik scored unassisted goals early in the second half to complete the scoring.

Potomac State led in shots, 16-6, and in corner kicks, 10-3. Goalie Acasha Smith made three saves. Raven Bierman and Ashley Thomas excelled defensively.

Potomac State will host Penn State Beaver on Tuesday.
