Women’s Soccer: Cecil shocks Potomac State

NORTH EAST, MD — Ivy Mumo scored the game-winning goal late in the second half to lift Cecil Community College over Potomac State College 2-1 Saturday afternoon at Cecil.

The Catamounts dominated the game, outshooting Cecil 9-3 and attempting 18 corner kicks to none.

“This was an extremely disappointing loss,” said Potomac State head coach

Mark Sprouse. “We dominated the game and had five times as many shots. Some with an open net and we just couldn’t finish.”

Mumo scored the only goal of the first half at the 44:15 mark.

In the second half, Hannah Rezutek tied the game with an unassisted goal at 59:45.

Mumo’s second goal came at 73:20.
