Women’s Soccer: PSC downs Frederick

FREDERICK, MD — Potomac State College used a balanced attack to win its third match in a row, a 2-1 victory over Frederick, on Thursday at Frederick.

Ashley Parker scored unassisted at 3:53 of the first half to give the Catamounts a 1-0 lead. Hannah Rezutek made it 2-0 at 4:33, scoring on an assist from Kirsten Rayner.

Frederick’s goal came at 32:17 of the first by Rebecca Peake.

Frederick outshot Potomac State, 8-4, while Potomac State had a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks. Alana Nappi had seven saves in goal for Potomac State, and Alexandra Cox had two for Frederick.

Potomac State (12-2) will play Saturday, 1 p.m., at Cecil.
