Women’s Soccer: Catamounts win fifth straight

KEYSER, W.V. — Hannah Rezutek scored a goal in each half and Tallia Logsdon shut down the No. 2 goal scorer in the country as Potomac State shut out Frederick, 3-0, to stretch its season opening winning streak to five games Monday afternoon.

Rezutek scored 4:26 into the first half off an assist from Whitney Ogle. She scored her second goal unassisted at 8:11 of the second half.

Kirsten Rayner scored with 9:54 left in the first half for the third goal.

Logsdon excelled defensively, covering the Cougars’ Katelyn McDonald, who had 10 goals and 20 points, entering the game.

Alana Nappi made eight saves to keep PSC’s shutout streak alive at five games.

The Catamounts (5-0) play Wednesday at Washington Adventist in Tacoma Park.
