Brittany Foster, soccer standout for Clarke County High School in Virginia recently signed to join the PSC Women’s Soccer Team for the 2014 season. Foster is a two year starter who helped the Eagles to a combined record of 31-8-1 for those seasons. This included trips not only to the sectionals, but to the regional playoffs as well. Foster played in the midfield her junior year at Clarke County. She was very successful, in doing her part, in dispensing the ball and occasionally scoring for an offense that had an amazing 113 goals that year. In her senior season, Coach Larry Hart needed help on a depleted defense and turned to Foster to fill the void. She shored up a defense which resulted in 9 shutouts and allowed only an average of 1.7 goals per game.

Coach Sprouse commented, “Brittany is a smart, skilled, and experienced player who doesn’t seem to let things rattle her. I feel she’ll be a solid and frequent contributor for us. Right now I see her more in a midfield role, as a ball distributer. However, you never know what might happen and it’s good to know she has experience as a defender.” Regardless, she should see a good amount of playing time.
