Women’s Soccer: Lady Cats rebound after 2nd loss to pick up 10th win.

Ashley Parker scored two goals and assisted on two others as Potomac State rebounded from its second loss of the season to beat Patrick Henry 8-0 in college women’s soccer on Saturday.

Parker fed Kirsten Rayner for the first goal and then scored the next two lo give PSC a 3-1 lead. Her first goal was unassisted and the second was assisted by Morgan Turley.

Hannah Rezutek assisted Sarah Allman for the fourth goal and then scored the final two of the half as the Catamounts took a 6-0 lead,

Rayner scored when Grade Parzych, assisted her to make it 5-0 and Mountain Ridge’s Jenna Emerick booted the final goal.

The eight goals scored were the second- most the Cats have scored this season and the shutout is the eighth of the year, Alana Nappi and former Lady Husky Brooke Fink had two saves each in the shutout.

On Friday, Howard Community College raced past the Catamounts 6-1 as the Dragons held PSC to just four total shots. Hannah Rezutek helps PSC avoid the shutout by scoring with 14 minutes left in the first half.

Potomac State (10-2) plays at Beaver Monday at 2 p.m.
