Women’s Soccer: Potomac State routs Valley Forge

PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. — Hannah Rezutek recorded a hat trick, and Kirsten Rayner and Sarah Allman scored two goals apiece during Potomac State’s destruction of Valley Forge Christian School, 11-0, Tuesday at Valley Forge.

The Cats clawed out a 6-0 lead in the first half with Rezutek scoring two of her goals in the first 45 minutes and Rayner tallying the first point of the night. Rayner was assisted by Moran Turley for the first goal, then assisted Rezutek on the second. Tallia Logsdon assisted Rezutek on her second goal and then scored one of her own at 33:44.

Rachel Canterberry made it 5-0 with an unassisted goal and Allman put up the final goal with an assist from Samantha Sines.

Turley, Rezutek, Rayner, Allman and Carra Berryman all scored goals in the second half and Rayner added an assist.

PSC barraged Valley Forge in shots taken 24-0 and 9-0 in corner kicks.

The Catamounts (3-0) have outscored their opponents 24-0 and are again on the road as they head to Christendom on Friday at 5 p.m.
