Women’s Soccer: Potomac State moves to 2-0 with shutout win

The Potomac State College Lady Catamounts ran their record to 2–0 with a 4–0 blanking of PSU Mount Alto on Monday.  Kyle Bussard and Hannah Rezutek alternate goals for PSC. Bussard open scoring with the Kezia Butcher’s assist in the 23rd minute then Rezutek struck three minutes later from Whitney Ogle feed.  Bussard finished her goal with exactly 12 minutes left in the half from Abby Lantz’s assist then Rezutek capped scoring with 18:16 to go in the match.  

"This was a good win on the road for us as everyone on the team stepped up and overcame several obstacles, including the field, injuries and an excellent opposing goalkeeper. The women showed a lot of mental toughness in all parts of the game. We still need to work on finishing,” said PSC Head Coach Mark Sprouse.

The Cats had four of the matches six corner kicks.

Potomac State host Westmoreland County Community college today at 7 PM and Penn State Beaver tomorrow at 4:30 PM.
