Women’s Soccer: Rezutek’s four goals leads Catamounts over WCCC

KEYSER, W.Va. — Hannah Rezutek had a first-half hat trick and finished with four goals, and Abby Lantz had two goals and two assists as Potomac State remained unbeaten with a convincing 9-0 win over Westmoreland County Community College.

Rezutek scored on an assist from Lantz just 21 seconds into the match, and Kezia Butcher, on another assist from Lantz, made it 2-0 just a minute later.

Rezutek got the next two goals and completed her hat trick on an assist from Jessica Peake 8:06 into the game.

Lantz scored late in the first half and early in the second, on a feed from Whitney Ogle, to extend the lead to 6-0. Rezutek, Rachael Canterbury and Paige Harrison had unassisted goals to complete the scoring.

The Catamounts (3-0) led in shots 29-1 and corner kicks 5-1. Brooke Snyder made one stop in goal.

Potomac State plays again today, at home, against Penn State Beaver.
