Women’s Soccer: Potomac State holds off Catonsville

CATONSVILLE, MD— Whitney Ogle scored in the first half and Hannah Rezutek in the second for Potomac State during a 2-1 win over Catonsville Friday afternoon.

Ogle broke a scoreless tie with an unassisted goal with 23:05 off the clock in the first half. Rezutek extended the lead to 2-0 early in the second half, and although Anderson Gill scored five minutes later for Catonsville, the Catamounts would not allow it to get any closer.

The Cats led in both shots (10-9) and corner kicks (5-1). Brooke Snyder made four saves in the win and Angela Buchman had five saves for Catonsville.

“It was the first time we’ve beaten Catonsville,” said Catamount head coach Mark Sprouse. “This is a huge win for our program.”

Now 5-0, the Cats will face Patrick Henry next Saturday on the road.
