Three Mountain Ridge Miners will be joining the Potomac State Lady Catamounts Soccer Team.

Nadia Poorbaugh, Kailey Perdew, and Marley Smith signed with Potomac State on Wednesday afternoon, February 17th.

The Lady Cats look forward to adding Poorbaugh to their defense. She was named the 2015 Times News Defensive Player of the Year, and earned the honor of First Team All-Area. Poorbaugh helped lead the Lady Miners to a record of 17-1 for the 2015-2016 season, including eight shutouts and the Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference Championship.

Kailey Perdew, a forward for the Miners, will be a nice addition to Potomac State’s offense. “Potomac has a great soccer program and is close to home”, said Perdew about choosing PSC.

Another quality addition to the Lady Cats offense will be midfielder, Marley Smith. “It is exciting to be adding talent to each area of the field”, offered Potomac State Head Coach, Mark Sprouse. Poorbaugh, Perdew, and Smith will march onto the pitch for the Catamounts next fall in the 2016-2017 season.
