Women’s Soccer: Potomac State improves to 6-0

KEYSER, W.Va. — Potomac State built a 2-0 lead in the first half and the Catamounts defense held the lead throughout the second half in a 2-1 victory over visiting Christendom Tuesday afternoon at Stayman Field that kept the Cats undefeated.

Kylie Bussard struck first with 15:13 left in the opening half with Courtney Dazaelle being credited with the assist. Brooke Snyder extended the lead to 2-0 when Rochelle Daniels assisted her with 6:59 remaining.

Potomac State, which led 10-8 in shots and 5-2 in corner kicks, got six saves from Chloe Payne and Madilynn Hill got six saves for Christendom.

Potomac State defenders Maddie Miller, Tessa Mulledy, Dazaelle and Faith Sentelle were credited with standing out in the win.

Now 6-0, the Catamounts will face Frederick at home Thursday afternoon.
