Seaford Graduate Paige Crouse will continue her academic and athletic career at Potomac State College of West Virginia University (WVU) next fall. Paige, the daughter of David and Tina Crouse, held a press conference/letter signing on Monday at the Seaford School District office.

"We're happy to have Paige. We're excited. We see her being a key member of our team this year," Potomac State Soccer Coach Mark Sprouse said of Crouse who will continue to play defense at Potomac State but may also see some time on offense in key situations.

"I always wanted to do that (play soccer in college)," said Crouse, who plans to major in nursing at Potomac State College of WVU. "I like the sports there and I like the campus. I like how it's small, it's like it is here (Seaford)."

While the school is in Keyser, WV., it is just four- to four-and-a-half hours away from home. Paige, who has been playing soccer since she was a kid, is thankful for the support of her family and is looking forward to college.

She also credited Seaford Girls' Soccer Coach Scott Bleile, Jr. and Assistant Coach Tracie Smith for helping her develop as a soccer player. "They taught me a lot," Crouse said.

"I'm just impressed by her character," said Sprouse. "We're lucky to have a good student and a good person as well as a good player."
