Keyser, WV- Potomac State College’s Women’s Team placed two players on the All Region XX NJCAA Team. The Lady Cats making the team were Chynna Kiser and Abigail Altman.
Kiser, a sophomore, from Franklin, WV, has been a two year starter for PSC. Even though she played sweeper on the Catamount defense she still scored two goals and had 4 assists. Kiser as a starter, has participated in 17 shutouts in the last two years. Head Coach Mark Sprouse said, “Chynna was our best all-around player, and perhaps the best defender I’ve ever coached. She is smart aggressive, with great ball skills. She’s also an excellent leader and was a team captain. I think she’s a potential All-American. Kiser was also on the All-Region XX Tournament Team.
Altman is a freshman forward at Potomac State and wowed fans with her speed and moves on breakaways. She scored 12 goals and had 6 assists, this included two game winning goals. Altman hails from Uniontown, PA. Coach Sprouse added, “Abbie is fast, with an accurate shot and very good ball skills. She’s a team player and unselfish with the ball, Abbie is the kind of soccer player who makes her teammates better.”
