Keyser, WV- Three Potomac State Women Soccer Players earned all tournament honors for 2011. Lauren Filer, Chynna Kiser and Sadey Crooks made the NJCAA All-Tournament Team that was held at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD. Potomac State ended up losing in the championship game to Montgomery-Rockville who then went on to win the National Championship.

Filer, a former Mt. Ridge standout, has been a two year starter at forward for the Catamounts. She is one of the two PSC captains and scored 5 goals and had 5 assists this season. Coach Sprouse remarked, “Lauren is a big reason we won over twenty games in the two years she’s been here. She had one of the most beautiful assists I’ve ever seen in the tournament, and played extremely hard in both our playoff games.”

Kiser, a two year starter a defender, also made the All-Region XX Team. She played a critical role in the Lady Cat’s first-round tournament win, a shutout against Westmoreland . “Chynna was awesome in the back, making one-on-one tackles, directing traffic and coming up with big clears, mentioned Coach Sprouse.

Crooks the PSC center midfielder, was pivotal in the Cats ability to control the midfield during the playoffs. “Sadey was bothered by injuries early in the year, but she really came on strong during the last part of the season. Sadey was aggressive and won just about every one-on-one battle in which she was involved,” said Sprouse.
