Softball: Rice and Hose lead Potomac State to sweep

KEYSER, W.V. — Savannah Hose homered twice and Taylor Rice launched a grand slam for Potomac State in a 19-2 win, followed by a 15-0 clobbering of Beaver County at Potomac State Wednesday.

Both games were called after five innings.

Rice’s bases-clearing bomb and Hose’s first homer both came in the 7-run second inning of game one. Which emanated from an 8-run first. Bethani Chambers went 3-for-3 with three RBIs.

Lex Lake homered and Tiffany Black singled twice for the Titans.

Morgan Wright went 4-for-4 with five RBIs for Potomac State in game two. Chambers went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a single, driving in three. Allie Lockhart singled three times.

April Bradley doubled. Lake and Nicole Moore each singled in the loss.

Potomac State (16-2) hosts undefeated Chesapeake College (24-0) today for a doubleheader at 4 p.m.
