Softball:Potomac State routs Beaver in doubleheader
KEYSER, WV. — Beth Cook gathered six hits over two games, and Potomac State outhit Beaver County 23-3, collecting 16-0 and 25-0 victories in a Wednesday afternoon doubleheader.
Cook collected a double and two singles in the opening 16-0 win, as the Catamounts raced out to a 14-0 lead by the end of the first inning. Kendall Keplinger added two singles.
Danica Rodgers threw a complete game, two-hit shutout.

Cook had a similar performance in game two, collecting a home run and two singles.
The Catamounts scored in each of the first four innings — 11 in the first, four in the second, five in the third and five in the fourth — en route to the 25-0 win.
Josie Clark went the distance, throwing a one-hitter. Clark and Morgan Basye each hit three singles, and Christina Collins had two.
Potomac State (3-3) will host Allegany on Friday, 3 p.m., in a doubleheader.
