Softball: Catamounts cruise past Finger Lakes

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Potomac State scored four runs in the fourth inning to build a commanding 8-1 lead en route to a 9-1 win over Finger Lakes.

Pitchers Beth Cook and Danica Rodgers, combined to allow six hits and just one run in five innings. Cook also drove in three runs with a double and a single. Ruby Fridley had a double, single and two RBIs, and Christina Collins added two singles and an RBI.

Finger Lakes got two singles from Zoe Derr.

The Cats (8-3) play two games today, facing Columbia-Green at 9 a.m. and Ocean County at 11 a.m.
