Softball: Catamounts finish spring trip with win

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Potomac State wrapped up its trip south with an 8-1 win over Finger Lakes Community College Thursday morning, improving to 7-1 on the trip and to 10-4 on the season.

Danica Rodgers started for the Lady Catamounts and worked the first six innings to get the win, giving up two hits, one run, striking seven and walking two. Josie Clark worked the seventh for PSC.

Offensively, Beth Cook singled twice and knocked in two runs for Potomac State, while Cheyenne Earle singled twice and knocked in one. Rodgers doubled and singled and Ruby Fridley singled twice.

Potomac State (10-4) will host a doubleheader with Dundalk Monday at 3 p.m.
