KEYSER, W.Va. — Kadie Cosgrove did just about everything in the first game, and Kadie Morral   fired a five-hitter in the second as   Potomac State and Allegany split their college softball doubleheader Monday afternoon.

Potomac State, behind Cosgrove, won the first game 8-0. Allegany gave Morral all the support she needed with a three-run third inning and won the nightcap 3-2.

In the first game, Cosgrove went 3 for 3, homered and fired a five-inning one-hitter. In the circle, she gave up only a single, walked one and struck out 10. At the plate, she led off the third inning with a home run and also had two singles and scored twice.

Jordyn Munson hit a tworun homer, Abby Gillingham doubled and singled and Sierra Farris had a double and two RBIs for the Catamounts.

Morral had Allegany’s hit.

In the second game, Morral allowed only five hits, two unearned runs, walked two and struck out six in a complete- game win.

The Trojans scored all three of their runs in the third   inning. Carmen Logsdon, Paige Weller and Cheyane Rice singled to load the bases. Allison Spade’s sacrifice fly brought home Logsdon and Kasey Blevins smacked a two-run single.

Potomac State scored a pair of unearned runs in the seventh on a double by Morgan Basye and back-to-back infield errors.

Both teams had five hits. Allegany’s Logsdon was the only multiple hitter with two singles.

Potomac State (13-10) hosts Garrett in a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Wednesday.
