Lady Cats thump Garrett

 

McHENRY, Md. - The Potomac State Lady Catamounts outscored Garrett College 33-1 to sweep a doubleheader on Tuesday at Garrett.

Potomac State won the opener 17-0 and nightcap 16-1 as both games lasted just five innings each.
In the opener, Ashley Metcalfe and Ashley Sites combined on a 3-hitter, with Metcalfe getting the victory after going the first three innings.

Metcalfe also led PSC at the plate with a home run, single and 3 RBI, while Brittany Wright had a pair of singles and 3 RBI.

Sites had 2 singles while Samantha Patton and Jenn Shuke each had a double and single.
Mindy Sharpe had two singles for Garrett.

In the second game, Sites struck out 5 and walked 2 to earn the victory for the Lady Cats.
Sites also had 4 singles at the plate, while Morgan Mitchell had a double and 2 singles and  Morgan Shockey had 3 singles.

Emily Sisler led Garrett with a double and single.

PSC (14-8) will return to action today when it travels to take on Cecil Community College for a doubleheader at 3 p.m.
