Volleyball: Lady Catamounts sweep a pair

ROCKVILLE, MD — Potomac State College swept a pair of matches Saturday afternoon at Montgomery Rockville, defeating Community College of Rhode Island, 25-13, 25-13, 25-19, and Montgomery Rockville, 25-23, 25-12 and 25-20 in junior college volleyball action.

In the victory over Rhode Island, Morgan Mongold had 13 kills, 19 digs and eight points. Stephanie Cornachia had four kills, 12 digs, seven digs and three aces and Erin Amoruso eight digs and 12 points.

Autumn Dishman had eight digs and seven points, and Shakayla Ganoe five kills, 16 digs and 30 assists.

In the victory over Rockville, Kyleigh Stottlemyer had seven points, 10 kills, five digs and three blocks, Mongold 12 kills, 17 digs and 13 points and Cornachia five kills and five digs.

Ganoe finished with 35 assists, 18 digs, two blocks and eight points, Amoruso four kills, nine points and 19 digs, and Dishman 10 digs.

Potomac State (16-8) will play Monday, 7 p.m., at Essex.
