Volleyball: Potomac State sweeps tri-match

KEYSER, WV — Potomac State won a pair of weekend matches over College of Southern Maryland and Community College of Beaver County.

On Saturday, the Catamounts swrept Southern Maryland 25-16, 25-15 and 25-20, with Morgan Mongold and Erin Amoruso posting career highs.

Mongold had a career-high 17 kills in addition to 14 digs, and Amoruso’s career-high came in the digs category, with 17, and she added 14 points and six kills. Shakayla Ganoe added 2U assists and five kills, Slephanie Cornachia 12 points, three aces and seven kills. Kyleigh Stottemyer nine points, nine digs and six kills and Autumn Dishman 13 digs.

On Friday, Potomac State swept Beaver County 25-10, 25-7 and 25-22. Cornachia finished with 12 points, three aces and nine kills, Amoruso had 12 points, three aces and six kills, Mongold had 10 kills, Ganoe seven aces, nine points and 26 assists and Dishman 11 digs.

The Catamounts (12-7, 6-0 in the WPCC) will host Penn Highlands on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
