Volleyball: Potomac State sweeps past Allegany

KEYSER, W.V. — Anya Murray and Sarah Lowery combined for 26 kills and Shakayla Ganoe had 37 assists to power Potomac State to a 25-19, 25-15, 25-10 sweep of Allegany College in junior college volleyball Thursday evening.

Murray finished with 14 kills and six digs, Lowery had 12 kills, 11 service points and seven digs, and Ganoe 37 assists and eight digs for the Catamounts (10-3). Kyle Stottlemyer added eight service points, two aces, five kills and five digs, and Shayla Hillian had eight kills and 10 digs.

Kierstin Miller had five kills, five digs and a solo block, and Kerenne Shaffer six kills and seven digs for Allegany (9-2), which had a six-game winning streak snapped. Melissa Shank added four kills, two block assists and five digs, Taylor Clingerman was 74 for 76 on sets with 24 assists and 10 digs.

PSC hosts Essex today at 6 p.m.
