Volleyball: Catamounts win thriller over Frederick 3-2

Frederick, MD- The Potomac State Volleyball team won a thrilling five-set match at Frederick Community College on Thursday night.

The Catamounts won the opening two sets 25-18, 26-24 before dropping the next two by scores of 16-25, 21-25.  PSC then held off the Cougars in the final set 18-16 to claim the win.

Autumn Dishman got the Catamounts going in the fifth by coming up with a key defensive play that converted into an offensive kill by Shayla Hillian.  Kyle Stottlemyer had a huge fifth game obtaining 5 of her 9 kills in the fifth set.  The Lady Cats converted on 8 block assist on the night and 4 solo blocks.

Autumn Dishman finished the night with 10 points 26 digs.  Sarah Dayton contributed a team leading 36 assists to go along with 13 digs.

Sarah Lowery had 8 points, 8 kills, 13 digs and 3 blocks.

Shakayla Ganoe had 9 points, 6 kills, 8 digs, and 4 blocks while Kyle Stottlemyer 9 kills, 8 digs, 4 blocks.  Shayla Hillian also added 6 kills, 3 solo blocks 2 block assists.
